as salaam alaikum,
i've always liked singing. right from my childhood. my mum recently said on my trip back home and humming a farsi surood that "basically u're a singer." and I said, "yea!"
so today when it was announced at the khabgah that whoever wants to join the guroohe surood can come up to so and so place after maghrib-isha prayers, I was one of the first people who was there. as the ayyame fatemiyeh (the days surrounding the martrydom of hazrat fatema zahra (s.a)) is going on, we are singing a surood (song) dedicating it to her. it's a beautiful farsi surood. sad, heart breaking, full of truth.
so, i'm finally part of a muslim choir and I love it!
here's a hadith e qudsi I love about the chief of the women of paradise.
"If it were not for you (Muhammad), I would not have created the heavens. And if it were not for Ali, I would not have created you (Muhammad), and if it were not for Fatema, I would not have created either of you (Muhammad and Ali).
Our Ostad of Qur'an once spend half an hour of her class time to tell us the position of Fatema in the Prophet's eyes and in the eyes of Allah. She recited the above famous hadith e qudsi for us and told us so... Hence, Fatema is the source, is the origin. SubhanAllah what a maqaam she has that Allah gets angry when Fatema gets angry. And Fatema's anger can never be but just!
As salaamu alaika ya Ummul Abeeha!
Janam fedayat!
That's adorable!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and may Allah reward you for this!
