So I had my first beauty facial massage done today. I was dressed and ready to go get tortured by my dentist. But just as I was about to leave, her assistant called and asked if it was possible that I not come today, as they had too many clients. I was like.. "Yea, totally!" Escapism works really well with situations involving pain. But then since I was all dressed up and fixed my hijab in the new multi layered volume look which I recently learnt from youtube, I thought to myself I’d rather just go to the beauty parlour. Now I’m not the beauty parlour girl who runs to the beauty parlour everytime she’s having a bad day or has nothing to do. I have only visited the parlour for a hair cut until today. But since I’m going through this new rediscover yourself phase, I admitted I needed a facial. The place I prefer to go to is located in a not so awesome area. And as I made my way, I realized there was a film shooting taking place in the neighbourhood of my parlour, but thankfully not near it. Loads of star struck film faithfuls mobbed the area in hopes of catching a glimpse of John Abraham. John Abraham is this really hot Bollywood actor. I don’t find him that hot but the girls swear he is. Bleh.
Frankly I don’t have much faith in creams. But this facial turned out to be really good! It was long, yes no doubt. I was really starting to wonder if the creams after creams and steams after steams would ever end. They did, eventually, and my face hadn’t looked cleaner and clearer in a very long time. So, I’m definitely a happy customer. If you have wheatish skin and are constantly exposed to the sun, then you should go for what I had done- the skin lightening facial! Yea.
Oh, and I don’t know how a back massage is supposed to be relaxing. I mean, it is definitely weird to have a pair of strange hands go up and down your bare back, even though they are female hands, the whole process is freaky, and not the least bit relaxing!
So yea, so much for escapism. I have a sure dentist appointment for tomorrow!
