Salaaaaaaam Alaikum beautiful people! :D
Wish you all an amazing and beautiful Eid! May Allah SWT accept all of our ibadah during the month and help us to sustain the Ramadan spirit all through the year, Inshallah, and grace us with Ramadan next year. May Allah wipe away all our sins and may we refrain from committing any act which causes Allah displeasure. Ameen.
I bought my Eid dress today and it is awesome! I am going to make chocolate brownies tomorrow Inshallah- pictures and recipe of which shall follow soon, hopefully!
I am so excited about tomorrow morning's Eid prayer, Du'a Nudba, wearing my amazing dress and the customary drinking of the Sheerkurma (which I am not a big fan of, incidentally.)
Wisdom time.
Following is the sermon that the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s) delivered on the occasion of Eid. Have an amazing Eid, Inshallah. Do remember us in your prayers!
Those of you away from home and family on Eid, I know how you feel, I've been there. When alone, think about the loneliness of your Imam (a.s) and that he has been spending the days of Eid, ALL ALONE! :( May Allah SWT hasten his reappearance, Inshallah, and that we be among his faithfuls on that day and always. Ameen
"O people! Verily this day of yours is the day when the righteous are awarded and the wretched are losers. It is a day which is similar to the one on which you shall be standing (before your Lord). Therefore, when you come out of your homes to go to places of your prayer, remind yourselves about the day when you (your souls) shall come out of your bodies to go to your Lord. When you stand on places of your prayer, remind yourselves of your standing in presence of your Lord (on the day of Judgement). And when you return to your homes (after prayer), remind yourselves about your returning to your homes in Paradise. O Servants of Allah! Verily the minimum reward for those men and women who fasted (during Ramadan), is an Angel, who calls out to them on the last day of the month of Ramadan (saying): O SERVANTS OF ALLAH! REJOICE THE GLAD TIDING THAT ALL YOUR PREVIOUS SINS HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN. Therefore, watch out in those things which serve as your re-creation ((of sins) on this day and days to follow)"

Eid Mubarak!
ReplyDeleteI love the reminder you've put there :)
Eid Mubarak to all Muslims worldwide :)
ReplyDeleteI've a question, sister in Islam from India? How do shiite Muslims celebrate Eid or how do they pray the Eidul Fitr salah? Do they pray exactly the same way we Muslims who follow the beautiful Sunnah of the Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam?
Or do shiite Muslims place a pebble in front of them as they pray?
Please explain?
Eid Mubarak to you too dearest sisters! :))
ReplyDeleteMariam-
Shiite Muslims generally celebrate Eid by praying the special Eid salaat, reciting certain duas, meeting relatives and friends, etc. The Eid prayer consists of 2 rakats, in the first rakat there are 5 takbirs followed by qunoots and in the second there are 4. It is mustahab to recite surah A'la in the first rakat after Surah Hamd, and Surah As-Shams in the second rakat after Surah Hamd.
The essence oh Shi'a Islam is following the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (S) as all of our obligatory and recommended acts stem only from the Sunnah of the Prophet and his AhlulBayt (a.s)
Regarding placing a pebble in front of us while praying- well, Shias prostrate on clay (or a piece of mud or anything which grows from the earth, except eatables) during salat because we have ahadith stating that the Prophet (S) used to do the same.
Prophet of Allah: “The (pure) earth has been made for me as a place of prostration and an agent of purification.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, The Book of Prayers, al-Salat, p. 91.)
Also, it must be noted that there are lies being passed on about Shias that they worship pebbles and clay. We do not worship that which we prostrate on. We worship and do sujood only to Allah SWT.

Have a great day! :)

ReplyDelete:)
Salaam A. Zahra,
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking your time to share with me some info about shiite Muslims :)
I choose to follow and stick to the beautiful Sunnah/tradition of the beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. I don't have to call myself Sunni or Salafi or whatever Madhhab I should follow. I am a Muslim, a servant of Allah created to worship only Allah, love Allah and His Messenger Muhammad (SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam) especially through following his Sunnah/tradition.
Allah knows bset :)
Again thanks for giving out some info on shiite Muslims, A. Zahra :)
May Allah guide us all to what He and His Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam love. Ameen.
